Cappella Romana singer Spiro Antonopoulos recently completed his doctoral studies on the fifteenth century composer and theorist Manuel Chrysaphes, working at City University London under the direction of Cappella Romana Artistic Director Dr. Alexander Lingas. This past June Spiro traveled to Thessalonica, Greece for field work on a project titled Bodies and Spirits: Soundscapes of Byzantine Thessaloniki, which focuses on art & architecture, sound, and liturgy in late medieval churches of Thessaloniki.
