Arctic Light
Back by popular demand, this sumptuous program of choral works from the Orthodox Church of Finland was first performed in 2008. The music marries a shining Northern clarity of sound with the sonic richness of the Russian tradition.
‘Arctic Light’ will feature works by 20th century composers Pekka Attinen, Boris Jakubov, and Leonid Bashmakov, as well as contemporary works by modern Finnish composers Einojuhani Rautavaara and Dr. Ivan Moody, who designed this program, now conducted by Timo Nuoranne.
